MAGICAL MOGGIE

Musical Director / Composer

An original musical story, for young people with complex needs aged 0-12, focusing on storytelling through real life sounds and music.

This playful treat will take you on a magical journey with the Magician and her best friend Moggie the cat!

Magical Moggie was originally developed in 2018 and 2019 as an in-person at home show for children and young people with complex needs and life-limiting illnesses, many of whom have little to no access to theatre and the arts. The goal was to reach an audience who, as many families expressed, felt as though they'd been forgotten about.

The show was set to tour people's homes, whether it be performed in a living room, a bedroom or even a garden. Over 2018 and 2019 we collaboratively developed Magical Moggie with children and their families who attend and use services at Demelza Hospice and Little Havens Hospice - with plans to tour Magical Moggie to families in June - August 2020.

Our plans were then put on pause due to COVID. Over the summer and autumn of 2020, the team regrouped and reimaged the show. Exploring and developing ways to creatively deliver a reimagined version of Magical Moggie to children and their families.
