 FACILITATION 

Iona trained in facilitation whilst studying at East 15 Acting School. Since graduating she has worked with people of all ages, throughout the uk, in a variety of different settings including: schools, theatre venues, universities, online, hospices and hospitals. 

 

She is passionate about creating a safe, supportive and accessible environment where participants feel comfortable to be their creative, authentic self. 

 

Iona specialises in devising, 

sensory theatre, climate themed work and accessible theatre. She regularly mentors young theatre makers and provides consultancy for theatre venues and companies.

5 key ingredients to making theatre.

 

MAST Mayflower Theatre - Artist Support Mentor 

Supporting local artists in a 48 Hour Challenge to create a piece of theatre in response to the given brief

of Climate Change 

Oily Cart - Workshop Leader

Slow touring tailored workshops in 'Space to Be' (a mini sensory show) for carers and hospice staff in children's hospices around the UK, Scotland and Ireland. 

 

Frozen Light - Plymouth University Residency Facilitator 

Co - running a 2 week sensory theatre making residency alongside the Frozen Light team. Supporting 40 students across 4 courses to devise, rehearse and perform x8 10 minute sensory theatre shows to invited audiences from a local SEN school and Day Centre. 

Prime Theatre - Specialised Facilitator 

Delivering a bespoke sensory workshop to participants from groups with varying levels of needs in the youth theatre who were working together for the first time. 

 

East 15 Acting School - Visiting Acting Tutor 

Leading BA Acting & Community Theatre students through an intensive character project.

 

Pound Arts Centre - Creative Facilitator 

Marcus Rashford initiative - working with young people from areas of high deprivation delivering bespoke,

creative workshops.
